Valley Of Flowers Tour (Uttaranchal) |
This is an ideal tour for all trek-lovers. The ‘Valley of Flowers’ tour will take you to some of the most beautiful regions of Uttaranchal. This valley was discovered by the British mountaineer Frank Smythe in 1931. Once here, you will be greeted with the sight of primula, saxifrage, red potentillas, geraniums, asters, gentians, anemones, delphiniums, blue corydalis and wild roses. The presence of several flower species has led the Bhyundar Valley to be popularly known as the 'Valley of Flowers'.

Day 01: Joshimath - Ghangaria
(Drive: 2 hrs; Trek 6/7 hrs; Lunch Enroute)
The tour will begin from Joshimath. In the early morning after breakfast, you will take the drive to Govindghat. This is a small hamlet situated on the confluence of Alaknanda and the roaring Laxman Ganga. Arrive at Govindghat and go trekking to Ghangaria. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel / camp.

Day 02: In Ghangaria (Valley Of Flowers)
(Trek: 4 hrs.)
After breakfast, go for the spectacular trip to ‘Valley Of Flowers’. The first part of the trek will take you through the thick forest alongside the Pushpavati River. Once you cross the meadow, you will enter the ‘Valley of Flowers National Park’. Enjoy a quite time here exploring the varied variety of flowers. After lunch, we will return by the same trail to Ghangaria. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel / camp.

Day 03: Ghangaria - Hemkund Lake
(Trek: 5/6 hrs)
After an early morning breakfast, we will trek to Hemkud –one of the finest high altitude lakes in the area, and pilgrimage for Sikhs and Hindus as well. The whole trek is uphill till we reach Hemkund. You can explore this area for a while and then trek back to your base camp in Ghangaria. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the hotel / camp.

Day 04: Ghangaria - Joshimath
(4 / 5 hrs; Drive: 2 hrs; Lunch enroute)
In the morning, after breakfast, you can retrace the path back to Govindghat. On reaching, you will find the coach jeep waiting for you. It will further take you to Joshimath, allowing you to explore the area. The trip will end on this day.
